WORD OF COMMISSIONER GENERAL OF THE FORUM
MR. RADHI MEDDEB
Tunisia has always been African. From the beginning of the sixties, it supported and accompanied the independence movements. It always mobilized its limited resources for the development of a number of African countries. It did so in the form of technical assistance, secondment of civil servants, hosting students or participation in the creation of financial institutions.
Today, more than ever, Tunisia is reaffirming its African vocation. It puts its skills, experience and know-how at the service of the continent and its development in the search of a solidarity balanced partnership.
The themes chosen for the African Economic Forum are placed in this perspective. They correspond to areas where Tunisia is keen to share its expertise, to learn from the successful experiences of other countries and to lay the foundations for quality cooperation for the development of the continent and the well-being of its populations
